Sun Hong, PhD, Professor, doctoral tutor, dean of School of International Education, the young and middle-aged scientific and technical leader of the second batch of Jiangsu provincial “333 High-level Talents Training Project”, core teacher of Jiangsu provincial “Blue Project”. Obtained the master degree after the study in the laboratory of famous physiologist Pro. Wang Zhijun, the academician of CAS(Chinese Academy of Sciences). Studied the genetically modified treatment of heart failure for three years in National Research Institute of Heart and Lung of UK as a visiting scholar, and then studied under the famous molecular cardiovascular pathophysiology Pro. Chen Qi, the president of Nanjing Medical University, and obtained the doctoral degree.
Professor Sun was engaging in the researches on cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology. She published more than forty academic papers and teaching papers on major journals home and abroad, such as Experimental Physiology、Plos One、J. Endocrinology、J. Cardiovascular Pharmacology、Eur J Pharmacology, etc. Edited more than three physiology teaching textbooks with national level, and undertook two NSFC(Natural Science Fund of China) projects, two provincial level natural science funds, and more than ten municipal and university funds. She also cooperated with the professor from Imperial College London, undertaking collaborative research on Stem Cells. She was honored the award of excellent textbooks in provincial level, scientific and technological achievements in municipal level, and two national authorized patents, etc.
During the research, professor Sun undertook multi-level theoretical and experimental teaching work for undergraduates and postgraduates in human physiology and neurobiology. Moreover, she is the member of physiological society of Jiangsu province and Chinese Physiological Society, review expert member of Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology, and expert member of Ministry of Education for the evaluation for graduate student degree and education.
